EPW - Swiss, mvt and dial marked for retailer Ryrie Bros. of Toronto, Canada, 49mm, heavy 18K gold original A.W.C.Co. HC with initials to front, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement with moustache counterpoise, 21J, wolf's tooth winding, wheel satin nickel finish, s#62510. Gross weight of assembled watch 74.4 dwt (115.7 g). Comes as pictured with a wooden box marked for an unrelated watch.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches and surface spots; nearly flawless dial with very small edge hl near 11:30; fine hands, minute with oxide to perimeter and tip; case front opens somewhat wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 100 degrees) and case front lift spring is only functioning through initial half of opening range allowing lid to tip freely with gravity through the second half of its opening range, case shows very light wear, profuse micro-fine scratches, some scratches and nicks to band, small but deep ding to band at 5, good engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows medium wear with small ridge break; ill-fitting plastic crystal is currently unsecured and should be replaced. Wooden box shows medium wear, substantial warping causing sizable separation along its back side.
